Faulty Tumble Drier

I have a tumble drier which started having problems about a week before the one year guarantee expired. The engineer has been three times - once to diagnose, once to fit parts and another time to fix other parts as the fault was still happening. After these three visits the fault is still there. What are my rights re replacement of the faulty item?
The company has offered to either send the parts to me or send another engineer which isnt ideal as they give morning or afternoon slots and to be honest after three visits I am getting a bit fed up giving up my days waiting for them to call.
Do I have to give them a certain amount of times to try and rectify the issue, and if so how many?

A warranty is in addition to your statutory rights so really, it all comes down to what the terms of the warranty state?
If you were to go via the SoGA, your rights are with the retailer and after 6 months, they can ask you to prove the item is inherently faulty before they would be obliged to offer a remedy - you can request a repair, replacement or refund but they can refuse if disproportionately costly or impossible - however any repair/replacement should be carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
However that is not applicable to warranties - so it might be worthwhile checking the T&C's and seeing what it says in relation to attempts/time frame.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Thanks for you advice. Just as a quick update, I have heard back from the manufacturer who apologised for not being able to fix it and are giving me a full refund. Cant fault the Zanussi's customer service0
