Purchasing New Radiator (question)
Options
Hi,
I was wondering if I could gain some advice on radiators from the users in the know.
I am planning to change some of radiators in the house and I wanted some that were a little different and pleasing on the eye but still generate a good amount of heat. I spotted the below on Ebay, which seem to have a good BTU but not sure if I should be just sticking with the more traditional heaters from places like Wickes/B&Q.
The below link is from Ebay and the BTU is 7980 BTU. Dimensions of the radiator are 600 x 1440 White.
ebay.co.uk/itm/Horizontal-Designer-Oval-Column-Panel-Bathroom-Radiators-Black-White-Anthracite-/310715288739?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Hearing_Cooling_Air&var=&hash=item4858130ca3
The link below is from Wickes and has a BTU of 8739 Btu (slightly higher than the above). Dimensions of the radiator are 600X1400MM
wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Type-22-Double-Panel-Universal-Radiator-600x1400mm/p/205133
(note - i removed the 'www.' from the links)
I am a little worried that the Ebay link, even though they look nice, are just a towel radiator and will put out only a little heat, whereas the Wickes will generate heat output, as they are a traditional radiator. Does anyone have any experience of the Ebay radiator and can they be used in a bedroom, hallway, etc rather than just bathroom and output good heat
Any help would be great, as i do not want to buy the Ebay Rads and put them up and realise then they are not good enough
Thanks
Pioneer
