I can't get any sound can anyone help me on this?

    Download VLC. WMP is a horrible bit of software.

    Could you tell us what the problem actually is?? Do you get sound using other things?? What have you tried to fix it?? What soundcard do you have? what OS are you using?? has it ever worked??

    Sorry to be vague.
    Not getting sound on video playback in windows media I am not sure what version it is,I have tried updating my windows media still no sound.
    Not sure what soundcard I am using will try and check when I get home from work,only just started using windows media so it has never worked but sound works fine on the likes of youtube .

    I would also suggest using VLC media player instead. It tends to play things WMP won't. You can get it here and it is free.

    You could also try downloading GSpot and check the file with that, it will tell you if you have all of the required codecs to play the file installed on your PC.

    Hi,
    yeah WMP 11 is rubbish,mine has stopped working at all,it won't even roll back to WMP 10 now,is there a player out there that i can sync my mp3 player to?

    tried media monkey but its not happening,sorry to OP, not trying to hijack thread here but i am interested about probs with WMP cos i've had nothing but hassle with it>

    I know this is probably stating the obvious - but have you checked the volume slider in WMP11?
    It's at the bottom to the right of the Play button.
