Both the WhatCar and Parkers websites will give you a valuation. Obviously it'll be a guide rather than a 100% accurate value, but it'll give you an idea.
You can also look at AutoTrader or similar, and see what similar cars are being advertised for. Of course, the advertised price may not be the same as the final selling price, but it'll give you a ballpark figure.0 -
webac will offer well below what the car is worth.0

Looking at the completed listings on Ebay can be helpful too, especially if it's a common model.
The Vauxhall site used to have a free check that used Cap prices, unfortunately it's no more.
I'd take Cap or Glasses Guide over Parkers, as they are rarely accurate.0 -
Get a "rough" valuation from the likes of Parkers or Whatcar etc then search for similar cars on Autotrader which will give you an idea of what the current market value is.0

Although, I don't recall this bit before:-
Please note our car valuation tool is for private individuals use only. Your local Retailer will contact you to discuss your valuation.0 -

I'll bid you £50, unseen, and prepare for a chip when I inspect it. Please don't even waste a penny on Parkers, they exist to get people to buy their comics. Get a feel for sold prices for your car then actually, objectively, strip the price of your own car down to a common level. Even with Glass's in one hand and CAP in the other, most people cannot really, honestly, evaluate their own cars genuine value.0

I'm pretty sure it used to give an instant quote too.0 -
The VX thing seems to have been quite a good, slow-burn, marketing device. Not only do they know what your TI is, but they have your contact details to, helpfully, suggest a replacement.0
