Yes, its me AGAIN. I am even boring myself talking about my printer now!
Anyway, to sum up the original problem with my printer - it displayed a paper jam warning even though there was no paper in it, following the advice of fellow MSE's (Thank you!) thoroughly cleaned the inside which had colour ink cartridge exploded all over it. For one breath holding moment it looked like it was going to work - but now the paper is not feeding through properly - back to square one.
In fact I think this is why the ink cartridge exploded, the paper doesnt feed through (and its definately the feeding mechanism on only one side that doesnt work - the paper ends up lop sided in the machine) but the printer carries on trying to print and then gets ink all over itself. I KNOW I should admit defeat, in fact I even bought a new printer yesterday from PC world as recommended (Thank you!) Canon i-something for £40 which is v. good value but I havent opened the packaging yet.
If I do use it I am thinking I might get their three year extended warranty offer for £9.99 where they will replace the printer if it breaks again (for ANY reason, I thoroughly grilled the poor shop assistant!)
Anyway - I promise this is my last post (obsession must stop!) but if anyone has any suggestions on fixing I would be very greatful!
