Think the credit card is over six years also but it didn't show up on Experian.

Be careful that the credit card isnt showing on the other 2 CRAs, I had a default that wasnt showing up on Experian but was reported to CallCredit.

I advise that you get a report from all 3 CRAs so that you can match up as different lenders sometimes report to different CRAs.

Go to www.checkmyfile.com and you will see the data from Eqifax and CallCredit. It is free for 30 days I think then and you would just need to cancel it before the 30 days is up.

    Good luck.

This is the first time this has ever been mentioned, can you elaborate on what score exactly gets passed on to lenders?

He has said it many times on here but has never elaborated as far as I have seen.

Probably because it's a completely different score calculated using criteria from the lender.
    What will your verse be?

Agree. It's a score based on the lender giving their particular requirements of what sort of customers they're looking for, not the one size fits all public score.

I tried to sign up for Equifax but it said it can't verify my identity with the card I provided. Possibly because it's a new card. My bank switched from Maestro, the original reason I couldn't sign up to MasterCard and now I still can't sign up.

They cut something out of my post, it was a website that checks both the other CRAs.

I've had the same when trying to sign up for the free trial and I tried 2 different cards. They wanted me to send them documents. No thanks. They sent me the statutory report no problem.

I've signed up. have to wait for the security key by post.

I'm guessing I'll find more stuff on there, which is great as I'll then work at paying it off.

My friend had to do that too, its really straight forward once you have the letter.

She found out that she had a late payment marker against her for a phone contract which wasnt her fault, it happened when she upgraded. When she contacted orange they amended her file.

Once I saw the default I had and an AR marker (both of which were not on experian) I sorted them straight away as never knew about them and they are both now nice little green dots on my file :)
