Big Winter Switch not right?

I asked for a quote on Big Winter Switch and was told I was going to save £321 by switching. When I looked at the details I found that although the standing charges were fractionally cheaper (saving £48 pa) the unit charges for both gas and electricity were higher. I can't see how I could possibly save anything! Anyone else have this experience?

I put my details in based on my kWh usage and it tells me I can save £104 a year. But then it also tells me I'm currently paying £174 more than I actually am. So my advice to anyone looking at switiching is don't blindly assume that the savings they tell you are correct and do actually compare with your actual bills.0

It depends on your usage
If you tell us your supply region (or first part of your postcode), your anticipated annual consumption of each fuel in kWh, and your current supplier & tariff, I'm sure someone will take a look and explain it all to you
... Or just look for yourself on the CEC as the special tariffs are only available from there.0 -
The original comparison said I would save £241!! But it ignores the fact that my current tariff has a £60 annual discount for online use, ignores the penalty of £60 to leave current tariff early and overestimates costs post my current tariff ending!!
By my spreadsheet I reckon my true saving is more like £70 so with the £30 switching bonus ,its worthwhile me doing it - but obviously not for lower users.0
