Sold house price data not on Land Registry?

Morning all

Just a random query about something I've noticed when looking at houses for sale and previously sold prices.

Is there some way that the sold price information can be omitted?! I ask this as I have noticed that our flat, sold back in summer 2013, still doesn't show the price paid. Yet there were two other flats sold in the same block in October and December 2013 and these are listed. The buyers of ours definitely got a good deal but we needed a quick sale!

Prior to that, a flat we'd rented from friends (who were property developers) also never showed the price that had been paid. It's the same for other properties that they have purchased too.

How is this done?! Seems to be a cheeky way of masking the previous value as I often looked at these when viewing houses.

Cheers

Usually discount sales aren't shown in the public data you see on Rightmove, Zoopla etc. I don't know exactly what criteria they use but usually it's auctions and repossessions that don't show.

These definitely weren't auctions or repossessions (particularly in our case/sale) which is why I'm intrigued!

If you are referring to our own House Price search then any normal residential sale should be shown.
However there are exclusions and there is a small risk that one can be omitted by error

So if the sale was of a single residential property and for full market value but it is missing from our data then you can report the error online and we will investigate.

I am afraid it is not possible for the applicant to have the data omitted.
