Hello,
I am going to finish the flat renovation and choose the entrance door-bell. There are huge variety of wired and wireless bells, which one is better to choose not to overpay? Please advice.

Easy to install and no ongoing running costs.

Seriously, you should ask this type of question on a forum such as Screwfix if you want an informed answer based on more than 'my doorbell is better than yours'.

Try the DIY forum. There are alot of people who fit their own, so they might give you some idea of different types.

  • do doorbells use a lot of energy. I think I read somewhere they can cost about £8 to run a year. Can that be right?

    Hi everybody,
thank's to all for the answers. My mistake is that I forgot to add "electric" to "doorbell" word. So I wanted to hear your oppinion about the most reliable and cost effective electric doorbells. As I know, they differ to two typess. The first is wired electric doorbell. It requires 220V cable connection. The second type is wireless electric doorbell which works via penlight batteries. It's installation is easier than installation of wired doorbells.
