Good morning everyone, cool here and frosty first thing but warming up slightly now. Docky was amazing last night, he didn't LIKE the noise outside but at no time did he panic and seem unduly stressed. He didn't want to go to bed though so we left him downstairs, no problems and he was up this morning, perfectly happy.
MOLLY glad your night wasn't too bad for the pups, hope your appointment today isn't too onerous love.
Hope little dog is continuing to improve and feeling better, at least she's at home where she has the best chance of relaxing and healing herself isn't she, keep fighting small one, we're all rooting for you.
Have a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all,
NMLC, hope the hospital appointment goes well for you.
Molly, thinking of you today.
Tru, feel for you. I must admit that I do not miss work.
Gers, congratulations on getting your 5th green flag.
Hello to all.
Another quiet day here! One day I will surprise you all!!
Have the washing on and will put it on the airers as no viewers today. Will give a quick going over with the hoover and then prepare dinner. Will be stew and dumplings tonight.
Made a start with my online christmas shopping yesterday, two bits for mum and one small thing for hubby. As mum is housebound and has the use of only one side I try and find lots of little bits to help brighten up her day.
I guess I had better get my thinking cap on what I would like as family will ask. I can never think of anything, my mind always goes blank.
Must get on as washing machine is beeping.
Take care all.

Bonfire party went well, DD decided to light the firepit, but I got annoyed when she had used all of the old wood she started on the logs that we had seasoned for the woodburner  DH soon stopped that
I did light the woodburner last night to take the chill off of the house, which was really lovely and toasty.
CH is still off though, that is not going on for a good while yet.
I have some washing on the line, it was lovely and bright earlier, but has gone very grey and gloomy now.
Shopping in Aldi this morning which only came to £23 :j mainly because the freezers and cupboards are full to bursting.
Ruby I hope that little dog is improving x
Molly and nmlc I hope all goes well at the hospital today x
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Back from visiting Mom. I'm so glad the rain held off until I got home. Popped into the doctors surgery too.
Mom was in a talkative mood. I just got to sit there and listen, nod and agree in all the right places. Occasionally I'd recognise words. Its really difficult visiting someone who though appreciates your visit, isn't able to communicate.
News from the Baby House in South Africa. The girls are going to collect a newborn baby from hospital. Its another girl and she is HIV exposed. Hi all.
I'm just back from a visit to the Consultant; we've concluded that even though nothing shows up on my blood tests, the problem with my wrists is the arthritis; the good news is the nerve conduction tests were all within normal parameters (apparently some of the nerve responses were a bit sluggish, but not majorly so) so there's no need for any operations.:T If the insurance people (I'm doing this through Mr LW's work health plan) will wear it, I need to have some physio on my hands; and I've had a cortisone injection in my left hand today - if that helps, I get the right one done next time (3 weeks time). We opted for the left hand, as there's little to choose for which one's worse, so we went for my dominant hand. Fingers crossed that it actually helps.:o
Tru thanks for the tip on stuffing knitted snakes as you go - I wouldn't have thought of that! I will try, eventually, to make some snakes, but I have one or two projects queued up waiting for my hands to be well enough to do them.;)
It was noisy here last night; I honestly don't know where people find the money to throw away on fireworks! Hopefully it'll all be over by the time my next guest arrives, next Thursday. My old mate Jessie is coming for one of her 4-nighters.:T
Continuing with the healing energy for Little Dog.:o And best wishes for others with horse-piddle appointments today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all,
Got caught out with the frost this morning. I usually love scraping the ice off the windscreen but didn't leave enough time so used the spray stuff.
I remembered to change the time on the programmer for the central heating as it wasn't coming on until I was actually up. I hate being cold when I get out of bed. Tomorrow I should be toasty
