Just had Hive installed by British Gas

Wondered if anyone else on the forum has this and what was there opinion.
First impressions are good imho. Before install I had a wall timer/programmer and set the heat level by the dial on my WB boiler and adjusted the radiator trv's.
Having a thermostat has made a huge difference and I love the app.

Nothing useful to add, just to say I'm getting a new boiler with Hive installed on 2/12.

Considering we haven't even had a working timer for years I'm hoping it will make quite a difference!

I had the similar Nest installed by NPower back in June and used it for the first time last night.

It was freezing when I left the pub so used the app to switch it on. Flat was warming up nicely by the time I got in 15 mins later (though accompanied by the burning dust smell as it's the first time the heating was on since March).

    Liking these 'next gen' thermostats!

I love my Hive. I got rid of a thermostat that was a pain whenever the clocks changed. It also had up to 6 settings a day so was annoying when trying to change anything.

The Hive updated the clock change automatically and I control my Hive through my phone and laptop, Easy to change anything.
