Is there any way that someone can work out that I am logged into MSN when I am appearing offline?
Someone seems to know everytime I do it, and I'm getting a bit creeped out by it!
Thank you in advance x

maybe they are alerted when you login (as all friends are) before the software gets a chance to show you offline...0

Make sure that when you initially log in tat you opt to show as 'appear offline' or your contacts are alerted.0

If you know who they are and their email address, you could enter it as a contact (if they're not already) and then 'block' them. That way when you go online they wont be alerted and you can then make your status to 'Appear offline'.0

Thanks guys,
I am definitely offline before I log in, and my signing in doesn't show up to any of my other friends?
I don't want to block him because I do like to speak to him ... just don't want him to know my every move!!!Gone ... or have I?0 -
I use my offline status most of the time and nobody knows when i'm online unless they happen to see me posting on forums etc. As far as I know there isnt a way of telling.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0

you can still recive message when appearing online and if these were recived when you were offiline as soon as you sign in they will pop up so it could just be luck0

there are various websites where you can type in someone's email address and it checks their actual status on messenger so it may be that he's using that.Bought, not Brought0
