Hi All,
So,we need to get a new double oven. Current one is 35 years old and isn't quite the happy appliance it once was.
Am thinking of Neff, Bosch, or AEG? or.....?
I've had a look in Currys at Sprucefield as I thought they'd have the largest selection, but is there anywhere else that has a good selection that could be viewed? Or somewhere you would recommend buying from? As it's quite a large appliance, this is something I would prefer to buy here than online from a GB shop. Oh, coming from Downpatrick area, so Lisburn/Belfast/Bangor sort of radius, but if there is somewhere good a bit further afield, that would be fine.
The space it will be going in is probably larger (height) than the new oven. It will be at eye-level.
All the ovens I've seen now seem to have doors that open down rather than to the side. Anyone seen an oven that has a door that is opened like a normal door rather than pull down? I know that's probably a safety feature so we don't all put our heads in the oven ?!, but if you are small like my mother, trying to reach over the oven door to put things in could be difficult. We're probably going to have enough reaching-difficulties with the small oven/grill being on the top rather than bottom now! (Don't make things the way they used to... :rotfl:)
Features....pretty standard really I guess - grill required though not necessary in both ovens. Fan and no-fan option. Other than that, I guess I want to see it to be able to check out the size and placing of shelves.

Another vote for Dalzells. We got our Bosch washing machine from them. Free delivery and £20 cheaper than Currys.Norn Iron Club Member 3300

Ta for the replies. Dalzell's webpage does look great - they seem to be able to get a large selection of ovens :-)
Any ideas if they actually have a good number of different ovens on show in shop? (I can appreciate that all these items are large and only so many can be on-show at any time, but I was a little disappointed in the selection that Curry's had out.)
Think I have now narrowed it to either a Bosch or Neff.#96 of the Norn Iron Club

Dalzell's is a bizarre place. They have outbuildings rammed full of stuff but the staff are very helpful.
We found the oven that we wanted by looking online and in other shops and then ordered it over the phone from Dalzell's. They delivered it within 2 days and the delivery guy lugged it up our steps and into our hall for me.Norn Iron Club Member 3300
