PS4 online behaviour

Do you think that the online community is getting better or worse?
I've had mixed experiences, especially on Fifa, where some players losing seem to just pause the game and give up.
Suits me fine, but would like to see more punitive action for bad behaviour.
What have you found in your online gaming experiences?

They started punishing them with losses in last years FIFA. The amount of times I was tanking someone and they gave up was horrendous and then I'd get an e-mail/message through saying I'd been awarded the win.

The other one that gets to me is when whoever you are playing quite obviously hands the controller to someone better at half time if they're losing. Now, I'm not great at the game but I've been winning 2/3-nil at half time and all over the opponent then ended up losing 5-3 etc. How can anyone think that is fun?!

Very frustrating. Everyone goes the same teams too!
I like to go random teams and try different players/formations.
That's hard to do when 99% you play against Real!
Still, not much can be done about that, and I guess no one is doing anything wrong there!
Handing a game to someone better is pointless. Quite sad really!

I tend to go as Liverpool now. I used to use Aberdeen but was getting pumped by everyone going Chelsea, City, Barca, Real etc.

I tend not to play much online anymore. Addicted to Career Mode.

Kermit, I haven't bothered with Fifa 15 yet, but I can tell you that you are probably wrong on the second half thing. Fifa isn't just about the skill of 2 players battling it out on the football field, it's also about the often bizarre programming of EA which helps teams come back from unlikely defeats, or tips the balance of luck for or against you. How many times have you played and lost 3-0 when the opposition has 3 shots and scores them all, and you have 20 shots and score 0. It's not skill it's the EA curse.
On Fifa 14 I've played clubs for a year, and we have had seasons where we've walked it to the first division winning when even we thought we shouldn't have done, then been relegated regularly when we're playing well. Think that EA have spiked the game just to be awkward. Played a game the other day where our goalkeeper and defenders (computer controlled) managed to work their magic to create 3 own goals in the same game. It's a shame that EA actually think that they have a decent product, unfortunately, it's just the best of a bad bunch, so mugs like us keep spending money on it. Hope they've improved the defending on crosses for 15, but suspect there will be other bugs.

That's entirely possible Bigphil, but it's not just the goals that it's noticeable with it's the actual manner of how they play. I've seen numerous matches where in the first half my opponent can't string 3 passes together yet second half they come out and are pinging the ball about for fun.

SueBee...I guess there's got to ba at least one player using them!! lol I've curreently got them sitting top of the Scottish Prem by 7 points from Celtic in November! Not very realistic...Celtic are much better in FIFA! Ha ha

It'll get better now half-term is over.

It's always been terrible, and in all honesty I've not seen it get any worse in the last 15 years.

I've heard these claims before, but I've never been convinced. beat my pal 8-0 when I played him last weekend. I can't remember exactly the time of the goals, but it wasn't 8-0 at half time! Fair enough though - maybe I'm wrong.
And to be fair to my friend, we've both been out for a few drinks beforehand.

I like to play player career mode and clubs where you just control one player, but it's so frustrating when the AI controlled players just play like amateurs or worse. The number of times a defender picks up the ball and wanders round for a bit before losing it is crazy. Career mode is worse, as you forever get those once in a blue moon things happening on a regular basis e.g. you're in total control of a game, winning, then the opposition makes a late rally and wins. It is quite funny sometimes when the defenders run into each other, fall over, and the opponent picks up the ball and scores, but there's a limit. I've also noticed the number of times that you tackle them the ball bounces off to one of their players, but when they tackle you it still bounces off to one of their players. Only solution is to player human vs human, which is generally ok.
Online play does seem to have improved since half term finished, and one of the few improvements they made for 14 was that teams who quit in the first 5 minutes in club mode lost the game, whereas before it went down as a no result.
