Has anyone bought baby clothes at Cite Europe, eg Carrafour? Any recommendations? Is it worth it?

Hi - we have sometimes bought baby clothes in France - they are usually good value and may even have sales at this time of year. A lot of the shops in Cite Europe will be the gorgeous but expensive kind (DPAM, Le compagnie des enfants) but the supermarkets also have lovely clothes too.
Are you going anyway or planning a special trip just for baby clothes?0 -
Petit Bateau are always much cheaper in French hypermarkets than in the UK, but if you're going soon you may well be lucky enough to hit the sales. I had some terrific bargains a couple of year ago - 70% off multi-packs of bodies.
Edited to add:
Anyone going anywhere near Cambrai should look for the shop called the Cotton Centre, a factory shop selling Petit Bateau etc baby things and older children's cotton underwear.0 -
In my opinion - the baby clothes in the supermarkets in France are far superior to anything we can buy over here, even in shops like mother****.
The vests and such fine cotton, and the choice is amazing. The sales in Carrefoure in July/August mean that you can really stock up on essentials.
Enjoy your spree!

I can't speak for baby clothes, but I travel to France a lot and always buy a lot of things in Leclerc, which I guess is similar to Tesco. The shoes in particular from there are wonderful, and when I was there a couple of weeks ago they seemed to have a lot of baby clothes.0

I love French clothes for babies. I tend to stock up when we go.
The supermarkets have fantastic clothes and the cost and quality are far superior to british clothes. I also find that as I now have a thin toddler that the french clothes fit much better than the english clothes.0 -
france do tend to have an edge sometimes over the uk stuff but they are also more expensive unless there is a sale on. i would recommend La Redoute catalogue which is also available in the UK. nice stuff though not always that cheap and i also like the woman's fashion.Has anyone bought baby clothes at Cite Europe, eg Carrafour? Any recommendations? Is it worth it?

another brand we like to buy is sucre d'orge (think that is how you spell it!)
