Paid Transaction Fee- Visa Payment

Hi I have been going through my bank statements and ive noticed 2 things I don't have a clue about.
On the 30th of October I got a Paid Transaction Fee- Visa Payment of £120 and on the same date Refund Paid Trans Fee - Visa Payment for £90. My wife phone up Nationwide and the lady said it was a fee but could not fine out why. So she said she would refund the remaining £30. Any one else seen this and can shed any light on what this is. many thanks

  • Thats ridicules how can a bank charge for something that they dont know what for. and then just refund £30 without knowing why it was put on. Have you got a OD? maybe charges for that but £120 IN A MONTH either its a mistake or you are bad boy at looking after your money.

"Paid transaction – if a transaction is attempted that takes you over your arranged overdraft limit but is within your reserve limit it will be paid on your behalf (this will result in an unarranged overdraft being used)."
