just had phone call from John Lewis, to tell me the order i placed on the 24th October was priced incorrectly,
i paid on line by credit card and a few days later the payment processed and taken
i ordered 5 of the items and they have said i can only have 1 at the incorrect price, the items were single ovens incidental at £ 159.00 each
can they do this now, also my credit card statement has been produced so will have to pay credit card bill anyway

Read this Do shops have to sell at the advertised price?
Very likely they will have T&Cs saying contract isn't formed until despatch.
You're very lucky they've let you order one. If it was me running their shop, I'd let people who ordered singles have one as a gesture of goodwill, people ordering multiples and knowing it was a misprice to take the mick would get nowt
As for your CC bill, tough

Have they sent you the items?
How much did you pay per item and how much should they have been?

Did you need 5 items or where they that ridiculously under-priced that you thought you would make a profit.

i think you are doing well out of it to be honest getting one at the wrong price?

not despatched yet, done by direct shipment hence why the payment has been taken
159 each, should be about 280 retail

no dear I do not work in a shop.

yes money saving legitimately, not trying to make a cynical attempt to make money from a probable genuine mistake.

anyway you are lucky to get the one you are being sold, if you get it on ebay quickly you might make some money from it. Not as much as you would have liked, granted.

Nope, not a shop worker, just someone that doesn't like people ordering stupid amounts of misprices which draw attention to them and spoil it for others... You should feel grateful they have let you get away with a single item of this misprice.

OP, you read the HUKD Bosch deal as everyone else and tried it on, not only that but took the proverbial. Just goes to show what a decent retailer JL is for allowing you to have one of the ovens at the original misprice. Think yourself lucky.
