I love ELDW too but I've also found that the 3 in 1 Max Factor Foundation was really good for me. I bought it in Barcelona when I forgot my DW and it coped well with my oily skin in the heat.
I also found the Avon Cashmere Foundation really good if you can get it on offer."We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.

Thanks everyone who has commented. I've been wearing the Revlon colour stay for a week now and I'm thrilled with it.
Good points - it lasts all day which I wasn't expecting at this price (although I do use a primer). Good coverage, blends easily, not gunky looking over large pores.
Not so good - if you want eldw level coverage you need to use a little bit more, I was doing 2 very thin layers of eldw, this needs 3 very thin layers for the same look.Same goes for uneven skin or scarring, I think this foundation is a bit thinner consistency wise.
I've definitely found my new foundation and won't be going back to eldw even if I could afford to!
This week I've had very little sleep which always affects my skin, and it's also been pmt week so the poor Revlon had a tough challenge, but did it nicely.

Thanks for reporting back shell_girl, glad to hear Colorstay suited you. That's a few quid saved each time you buy foundation. Well a few quid you can fritter away on other cosmetics instead
