Thank you for all your replies,
Prior to starting this claim for ESA in 2013 i wasn't on any disability benefit, it was as my health got worse i then made the claim for ESA, First ever claim for any disability benefit was early 2013.

So the DWP should backpay from the 14th week into my claim, Just a simple calculation that's a lot to return!

the back pay can take up to 6 weeks to come through but phone the DWP for an update of when the back pay will be sent to you after all its your money as they seem to drag there heels with this sort of thing.

also make sure you send the DWP a copy of your tribunal decision too as the tribunal service send there's in batches to the dwp so i can be a week or 2 after you get your letter they send theres to the DWP send it to them recorded delivery and only send a copy of it not the original one .

hope you get the money in time for Christmas too

I will make a copy of the tribunal decision and post it, I'm just wondering of anyone knows the address of where I send it?

Do I send it i the address that I've been sending my fit notes too?

the ESA department address that is on top of your previous letters and you dont have to send in any more fit notes now you have been placed in the support group

Anyone that is going through this just fight for what you are entitled to, I came very close to giving up which is exactly what the DWP seem to want. I kept fighting and the Tribunal saw my case and awarded me it, Its a very daunting experience going to the Tribunal and i almost came close to not going and i was going to let them decide on the papers they have. However on the written decision from them they noted that part of the reason they awarded to me was due to my oral evidence, so i highly suggest anyone coming up to a Tribunal attends, it really does seem to make a difference and for once during the claim you get to express you illness to people completely independant from ATOS/DWP.
