Wages still not in bank account

Hi I'm really worried, I have checked my account at 4am and there is no wages in there at all. I am supposed to be paid today. I phoned someone at Barclays and they told me all credits are showing by 1.30 am yet this is not.
The job is new and I only have £30 left in my account, I cannot afford to wait another month. (I had been unemployed for a few months which is why there is so little left). I am totally relying on that money.
I triple checked with them and they ASSURED me that I was most definitely on the payroll, well why hasn't it been paid then.
Any possible reasons for this?
Much appreciated

some online banks do not show credits or debits for the day until later in the morningSave 12k in 2020 #19 £12,429.06/£14,0000

I did speak to the bank though, and they said that any credits would be showing at 1.30am and that's generally been the case in the past. It's now 7.30am and still nothing showing0

Are you sure you have the right day for payment? It is not unusual for there to be some sort of problem with the first month's wages, you need to speak to HR when you get into work, or email them if you have their email. If there has been a problem a lot of companies are willing to give a cash advance to see you through. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

If you work for a small employer they may be paying you by faster payments in which case they may not make the payments until later today. When I paid the payroll for a small company we aimed to get it done by midday. Try HR or your equivalent when you get to work.0

Have you asked your co-workers what time they see their wages in their accounts (Handy if you can find another Barclays person)
It can be very variable with different banks- where I work I see my wages about a quarter past midnight on the Saturday morning whereas others with a different bank don't see them til Monday (which is the official pay day)/I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

An expected credit appeared in my Barclays account at the normal time overnight. Have you checked that the employer has input the right account details?0

I get paid via Faster Payment as I work for a small company and it usually shows up by around 10.30am, all depends when the payroll department but it through.
First month I was due to be paid when I first started working here I didn't get paid when I was expecting to and my boss confirmed it was because for some reason my bank at the time (Halifax) had rejected it as a Faster Payment and were processing it via the normal BACS system, since then it's never been a problem.I am a Mortgage Adviser

If they pay via BACS - which many larger employers do - then it will show by 9am at the latest as it will have been processed overnight.
Some employers - particularly smaller ones - may pay by Faster Payment and this could go in any time until midnight tonight but during business hours are more typical.
Unless they've told you, you can't really tell which they will use and even then some may switch between the two systems. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
All this speculation and suspense is killing me. Will the OP come back with the outcome? I doubt it.0
