Hi, not sure of this is in the correct section.
We claimed through the phone insurance with halifax and sent the phone as advised via royal mail special delivery, when I checked the tracking number on royal mail it said that the item had been refused from the repair centre and was being sent back to sender (we didn't put sender details on a didn't expect this to happen).
I spoke to Halifax who were no use at all and said that it isn't their problem the item was refused as the packaging was open/tampered with (which they can't prove) and that I needed to take it up with royal mail.
I spoke to royal mail who said that I need to fill a form in which is claim form for a lost or damaged parcel (which I don't know if it is either of these)
Does anyone know where I would stand with this and who I would need to raise it further with as halifax can't prove the packaging was open/tampered and neither can royal mail nor can they prove it wasn't
Thanks

If you never got the phone back, you need to claim with Royal Mail for a lost parcel.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Thanks, this has only just happened so think royal mail won't allow me to claim for it yet.
just mean's that I'm now without a phone for a couple of weeks rather than days0 -

I thought you had to include a return address when sending something via Special Delivery. I guess not.
Not that it really matters. Presumably you still have the receipt and, if the parcel hasn't been lost in the system, Royal Mail will be able to reunite you with it.0 -

No its just astounding people don't.
OP,contact RM customer services and explain to them what happened (again)
Ask them if they can contact the Returns centre in Belfast to try and locate your item.0
