  • You should contact the people who cancelled the policy and ask them to agree that it wasn't cancelled. If they won't, try the ombudsman. Otherwise you are basically screwed for life so it is worth fighting hard to get it changed.
  • Oh, and in the future if you see the slightest error cancel the policy yourself before they have a chance to.
  • Thank you for your help! Sorry I was so late in replying. I'm in Australia - I didn't realise this was a UK forum - but the principles are probably the same. Will try calling instead of using online quotes.
