LG faulty Tv

Hi
Has anybody had trouble with the latest 4k LG tvs. I bought mine from Currys last month, its gone faulty-lines flickering in the corner of the TV. Ive complained to LG direct only to be told that as the TV is over 1 month old it has to be returned to LG which could take over 5 days to repair. I will be without my'all singing-all dancing state of the art TV' for approx a week
Can anyone offer me some advice on how to handle LG customer services. They are adamant that its their ploicy to take the TV off me leaving me with nothing till they repair
Thanks

If you wish to deal with LG you are bound by the terms of the warranty, they can do whatever those terms state. Your consumer rights are with Currys and you should pursue them for a resolution.0

Although Curry's won't have to offer any more than that, and as they will likely just send it to LG on your behalf, you'll be without it for more than a week while Curry's wait for LG to collect, and then possibly delay getting back to you when the TV arrives as there are other jobs to do first...0

Is it annoying? Yes, is it against the SoGA? No.
Being without a TV for a week is not a significant inconvenience. I'm not even sure it's a major inconvenience, more like an annoyance really.0 -
You say you bought it last month? That could be anything from 5 days ago to nearly 5 weeks ago. Exactly when did you buy it. The less time you have had it, the more likely you will be able to insist on a full refund and buy a new TV.0

thanks everybody who replied. I spoke to Currys and Yes they'll just send it away which will take longer.
