PCN From Highview - Some Advice Please?

Hi, my wife received a PCN from Highview. Trouble is that we both used the car park in the same day - my wife in the afternoon and then I took her car up in the evening. Of course, the cameras saw her arriving and me leaving, and BAM - PCN through the door.

My question is, do I appeal it on these grounds, or having browsed these boards and seeing that the general advice is to not admit who was driving, try and appeal it through the more generic roots? Obviously i can't make an honest appeal about what actually happened, without admitting that she drove and then i did later in the day.

I'm pretty sure i don't have any receipts to back up times / purchases etc, so what are the actual chances of being successful - can i force them to review the camera images because I can guarantee that somewhere it will show her leaving within the allowed time and then me arriving later in the day.

Many thanks in advance!

  • Read the NEWBIES thread forget what happened on the day and appeal as the keeper.

You refer to Mr A as driver A and Mrs A as driver B if you need to and follow the NEWBIES thread.

  • Ok thanks - i did look through the newbies thread but didn't find anything that matched my circumstances, hence the new thread.

However (this is where it gets interesting)... we were using my late mother's car, which I bought off my dad after she died. We haven't got round to updating the log book so she is still the registered keeper (the PCN came addressed to her at my dad's address).

What should i now do as we obviously can't appeal as the keeper? Does this make the whole thing null and void, or is it about to get very difficult...?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
