Parking fine but car is nearly sold

Hi,
I have looked high and low for some information regarding this.
Let's say that a ticket was issued today - the 04/11/2014.
If the car is going to be in another's name in 28 days, is there any point in attempting to appeal?
I would like to know whether it's worth appealing now for a car that I won't even own in a couple of weeks.
BR

I'm not surprised that you haven't found any info - as it's completely irrelevant who owns the car in a few weeks time.
It's your car at the moment so deal with the ticket by following the same advice as everyone else would do.
Of course you appeal it - the new owner isn't going to do it.0 -
The company is JAS.
They say that after a certain period of time they'll contact the DVLA for the owner's details - which won't be me so I doubt I'll ever receive any letters etc.0 -
The DVLA give the name of the owner at the time of the parking event, not the current owner.
Expect your letter to keeper between 28 ad 56 days from the date of the event,Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Thanks guys - I'll go ahead with the appeals process.
The owner of this company JAS looks like a real crook, I'm surprised that decent companies (Staples etc.) are doing business with unsavoury characters like this.0 -
Google 'JAS Staples POPLA'. Follow the examples in the 2014 threads you find.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
