    Re the sandals, have you got a Shoe Zone in your area - they do Softlites sandals which are very comfy and cheap - bought a pair when recovering from my broken ankle and still wearing them, walked about 10 miles in them today.
    I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
