Which day are the boiler people coming Beanie? I think you thought it would be this week to fix it - I am interested in what the problem turns out to be. We have an oil boiler and I keep considering replacing the tank with a new smaller one with some access security (locks or bolts) on it. Such a lot of work though...

    They are coming today.
I have not had a phone call to say when though yet.
The local plumber who kindly came out thinks it was/is a leak in a pipe that comes from the boiler out over the conservatory.
    We will see.
I am so stressed over this it is unbelievible:o

Really hope it gets sorted out for you Beanie. I hate it when things like that go wrong and then not being able to fix it straight away would have me in a dither as well. :o Fingers crossed its all done and dusted by the end of the day. xx

    So boiler man has been.
He has replaced the pressure relief valve.
We will see what happens next.

Hopefully that is it. I don't want to add to your stress about this - Do you know if he drained the boiler so there was no pressurised squirting of water to do it? And I am curious as to whether he actually checked the pipe that the plumber suggested could be leaking?

Having already checked it once, did he say anything about a faulty valve or the fact it was missed (if that is the problem)?

I am afraid you will need to keep watching the pressure level - every few days for a while, just for your peace of mind.

No idea if he drained the boiler though he did ask for a bowl
Boiler is in loft so no clue what he actually did.
The plumber(local one) had mentioned the PRV. One who came today says he is not convinced this is the problem.
    We will see :(:(
