Sorry to hear that Beanie. Bet you feel so frustrated at times don't you. On the bright side you managed to get out of the house and have a change of scene and company.
Just out of interest is your FB thinking ahead in any way to what might happen after Brexit or are they only in a position to think from one week to the next. It's just something that crossed my mind today as you said more people are using your FB I wondered if you were you trying to 'stockpile' some things. Purely curiosity - definitely not political xx 0 xx 0

I would say we tend to go month to month.
We are running low on things more quickly though.
We are getting more & more new clients though as the changes in the benefits system really kick in & there are just more & more regulars.
Luckily we have a lot of local support which is good.
Which I really hope can continue. xxI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I know our local foodbank seem to have loads of some things and always 'run short' of others. Toiletries/hygenine products are always short at ours where as tinned tomatoes/beans seem there seem to be shelves full!
I know that doesn't answer the question in regards to Brexit but I know our food bank have run a lot more fund raising for the roll out of universal credit.

Good to hear you have a lot of local support Beanie. Also interesting that more fundraising took part for in your area when UC came into force WB.
I've no idea if any big names support our local FB but I do wonder about the logistics of how they keep themselves going when they're relying on donations and don't actually know how many people are going to turn up needing help. I suppose all they can do is give out as much variety as they've got. Ours quite often says no beans or tomatoes needed thank you.
I must admit I get flummoxed at times thinking about things to give. I read people are returning rice and pasta because they can't afford the electricity to cook it, so I thought microwave rice but then wondered if they'd have a microwave. TBH I'm probably over thinking what I give. I'm sure they're grateful for whatever they get. x0

I get flummoxed by it too, this is why I thought it would be simpler to give money than worry about giving things they don't need. I know it means somebody then has to buy the stuff in but at least it might help get things they don't have otherwise. (And my local one has FINALLY got account transfer info for donations, so I'm hoping to make one on payday.)Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
