Today has been a sad day in some ways.
I have been involved in a charity close to my heart for nearly 20 years.
As we have no further funding it is time to close the doors and say goodbye.
So today we have cleared the office of most of the paperwork that I need to keep & the accounts for the last seven years.
A little part of me is relieved but I am sad too.
The staff are redundant from the end of next week
I am mentally & physically exhausted and my spare room looks like a total dumping ground.
Which it currently is.
The end of an era indeed.
You served them well, you serve everyone well Beanie.
It is very sad but you sound like you deserve a rest.

Sometimes the best thing for a charity is to cease.
