If I have a really busy day I feel like having the next day off and I don't have any health issues, although I'm not as young as I used to be :)

Whatever it takes to get by is ok - have the PJ day, eat the entire advent calendar :) xx

Will they be buying you a gift? Could you just get them a token gift of, for instance, one of those small boxes of Lindt chocs each? I think they're only £1.

Situations like that, we had a family confab, and I bought a gift and kept it in reserve (there was only one person, though). It's a difficult situation. Has it happened before?

  • I would go with SA's suggestion of a token gift, otherwise it won't help your budget.

It's not giving in to rest after a busy day, I do that sometimes.

Token gift of chocolates sounds good...unless you organise a Secret Santa for a nominal sum? Then it should be fun, rather than tricky.... (when you don’t know someone from a bar of soap you can just play super safe?)

Generally we find in my family guests makes us play nicely :rotfl: ;) It’s a good thing ;)
