If I have a really busy day I feel like having the next day off and I don't have any health issues, although I'm not as young as I used to be

So from what I can gather at present there are going to be a coulde of extra guests at my mums for Christmas.

I would go with SA's suggestion of a token gift, otherwise it won't help your budget.

Token gift of chocolates sounds good...unless you organise a Secret Santa for a nominal sum? Then it should be fun, rather than tricky.... (when you don’t know someone from a bar of soap you can just play super safe?)
Generally we find in my family guests makes us play nicely :rotfl:
