As you know I still have this pesky loan.
I think I have now made a mistake.
I have a CC which I never use with which you can make money transfers into your bank account.
As it was a 0% card I made a transfer into my bank & I have cleared as much of it (the loan) as I could.
Although I have saved some money I now feel worse as the debt is in two places.
I wish I had left it alone

Can you pay off the loan more quickly now that it's a smaller amount though? If it's mostly on 0% interest then it's an improvement.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Agree with HH, you must be saving on it surely? I'm like you and have a card I rarely use but keep just in case - every so often I get tempted to balance transfer. Should get rid really, too tempting ...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

You're not alone Beanie , I felt much better having everything on one card . However you are saving money , so you have done the right thing. It's easier to make small overpayments to a card as well.
