Glasses are a rip off. My optician always tries to get me to have varifocals when I don't need them. I just tell them no. Work pays for my glasses for VDU use.
Like you say if you need them it is what it is.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Ouch to expensive glasses Beanie but you need them and can't risk not getting them - uncorrected sight and mobility combos are never good.
