    I have just submitted my gas meter readings and they are huge.
    The website said they are very different to what they were expecting.

    I think you may have misread something.

    Three months = (approx) 93 days = 2232 hours

    50186 KWh over 2232 hours = 22 KW.


    That's a metric shit-ton of power.
