Might depend on the sort of bed you have but stuff like a necklace could slip down between the mattress and the frame? Maybe wait and ask a friend to help you if you decide to move the mattress though!

Yes. I can’t even lift the mattress. It’s on the list. However the frame has slats so I thought it would fall through.

- OPs to mortgage = £19,809 Estd. interest saved = £10,180 to date

If you didn't go anywhere before you noticed it was missing it must be somewhere in the house. It's so frustrating when things like this happen. Have you got a deep pile rug or anything where it could be lurking in the tufts - I say this because I found some tiny drill bits and an allen key in the tufts of my rug recently, completely invisible but I felt them when I trod on them in bare feet.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪2 -
The cleaner was here today & the mattress has been lifted. Sadly nothing there but dust!

I found some jewellery once that I had misplaced in the bottom of the washing basket , assume it came off as I was undressing. Hope you find it Beanie so annoying.

I lost my engagement ring. I knew where it had to be, but couldn't find it anywhere. It did eventually turn up in the place I thought it was. Hopefully the same happens with your necklace xx
