If you're having to ask, then she needs to go.

Lodging is a commercial transaction. She's not a relative - she's not your daughter.

I would ask her to leave. It's your home and you need to be comfortable and happy there. She is causing you stress at home
and that's really not fair to you.
Home is somewhere that should be as stress free as possible. Not always easy to achieve I know but you have a solution to
take away a big stress so just do it.
You'll feel better and your home will be yours again :)

Smilie is well trained if you want a new lodger ;)

I think he's on his way to you....

The lodger sounds difficult. I think she will be happier if she is someplace else, and, more importantly so will you. Trust your feelings beanielou :)

    Thanks doing it anyway.
    You are right.
She will be happier somewhere else.

  • Hey Beanie!

Sorry to hear about your falls and I agree with the others, if the lodger isn't working out then she has to go. It will be easier for both of you. She will get a valuable lesson and you will have the opportunity to find someone more suitable.

When we asked someone to move on we said we just needed a break from having lodgers..given your condition that's probably a good one for you to use too.. and we gave her up to 6 weeks to find something else so she wasn't too stressed.

Worked for us. We then picked up again a few months later when we had recovered, regrouped and found a better fit. He's still here as it happens :)

    Well. Lodger is gone.
Came home & started packing so it saved any hassle.
Goodness knows what fibs she has told her work mates.
