No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Sorry to hear about your lodger, how awful for her. I hope she recovers quickly. The PIP changes prompted me to check Mr SA’s award and I think he’ll be ok. However I did notice he’s deteriorated in a couple of areas since the assessment and I hadn’t updated it as he’s on the highest rate anyway. It’s a very worrying time for the genuine cases unfortunately.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
