Happy June Beanie, let's hope it's a good month.

Boo to the rain and pain :(

I'm with you on the shoes, cheap ones are a false economy unfortunately. Oh to be 17 again when I could pick any shoes, dance in them all night and still be able to walk home in them.

Of course you must get the doors fixed but the glass in double glazed doors is usually shatterproof safety glass so that should not happen

Depends how old the doors are but my OH thinks that if it has cracked then it's likely to be laminated glass.

Safety glass will just break into little squares.

Is there a Kite Mark anywhere? It should be etched on the glass.

My OH found this from here:

"The glass will have a kite mark with British Standard number 'BS 6206'.

There will be markings to identify the type of glass used i.e. 'L' for laminated, 'P' for plastics, 'T' for tempered (toughened), 'W' for wired or 'SFB' for safety film backed.

The category of safety glass used i.e. 'Class A', 'Class B', or 'Class C' (based on its performance under impact tests) will also be shown. A suffix 'o' denotes front impact test only e.g. mirrored wardrobe doors."

There will be an identifiable name, trademark or other identification mark of the manufacturer. If any of the above markings are lost by cutting, then the company which carries out the cutting must replace markings a) to c) and add their own identifiable name or trade mark.

Were you not dolled up with mask, glasses and gloves? You should not be in contact with that stuff - it's there to kill things and one of those things should not be you...

If you look carefully, there should be a mark somewhere on the glass, usually in a corner and usually in white ink.

tells you about it. You're looking for either toughened glass (I'd be surprised if it's that) or laminated glass.

    I shall look.

    Thanks Bear & Z.

    So DS graduates this month.
I have been amazed at how much 'stuff' this has brought up.
Memories both good and not so good of people who are no longer with us.
My dad, my gran, B's other Great Gran and Gran.
Desperately sad my dad will not see this as he would have been proud.

Anyway. In part because it all feels like the end of an era I have finally got the divorce papers ready to be signed and will take them to the court next week for signing. Mixed emotions to be honest but it is time.
Deeply sad for the young person I was who thought I had the world at my feet and that I could do anything.
Anyway I am older and wiser now & mostly happy with my life now.
    Nothing a rich man wouldn't help with:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

End of an era type milestones always bring up mixed emotions. I wish my mum could've seen my grandkids, she would've adored them. We just have to plod on through life as best we can, appreciate the little things that make us happy.

On a separate note you've brought to my attention the fact that we're about to have patio doors in our kitchen and Mr SA is prone to falling. I think you can imagine the scenario playing in my head!
