What a ridiculous amount of stress and timewasting for such a small thing."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

oh !!!!!!. I think somebody has been panicking about the council tax discount. I had a grumpy letter insisting I confirm I live alone for a review, or face dire penalties, and I'm sure I confirmed it a few months ago. (Don't think we are the same council area though.) It makes me really cross as it's literally the only benefit I get and saves me about the cost of my internet bill while I pay everything else single handed, so it really wouldn't be worth my time telling fibs for it!

How crazy. Surely that isn’t urgent and could be dealt with by letter 🤬🤬
I notified them by letter weeks ago telling them I’d be getting my pension as of last weekend. I hadn’t heard anything from them so went down to the offices to tell them as I couldn’t get through on the phone. I’d done everything I could think of to let them know. I didn’t hear anything until today when they wrote and told me the ESA would stop from last weekend as I would be getting my state pension. It just had a tone about it they was accusing me 🤬🤬🤬 Then I got tax papers to pass onto my new job 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I’m presuming it’s equivalent to a P45 when a job finishes but this was a benefit. I’m so pleased I’m getting my pension now as I felt very guilty.January spends - £587.584 -

Just to get this out. I am sitting here in tears. One of my oldest & dearest friends husband has finally been formally diagnosed with a form of dementia. This is not a surprise. Yesterday he got lost & the police had to bring him home.Such sadness for them both. We have known each other for 35 years & have had many chapters in our friendship. My friend sees my DS as her surrogate son. My heart breaks for them both especially my dear friend. I am trying to remember the good times. I will support hr as best as I can. I have no words.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
