Sorry to hear you’re feeling like this. Is there a charity that helps with gardening locally? I know where I live there’s a couple of charities do this for disabled or elderly at a much reduced rate. Is DS handy, could he help in the garden with what needs doing?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

DS has no spare time. He is working a lot of hours & had so much prep to do every week & at the weekend.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I’m sorry that you are struggling. Wish I could come over and help with the garden - I’d quite enjoy that <rueful grin>
Please don’t feel bad about sharing that you are struggling. You are allowed to say that. Now then Universe - please send Beanie a kind, helpful, aligned, cheap(!) resource to help with the garden.Actually, mad thought …. There are loads of people wanting allotments who can’t get them. Could you sign up to a landshare scheme and someone could make use of it and help keep it tidy for you?KKAs at 15.10.25:

- OPs to mortgage = £12,345 Estd. interest saved = £5,863 to date

Sorry to hear it Beanie. Please don't feel bad about saying when you are fed up.I like KajiKita's suggestion - do you have a local community garden or anything who might be able to link you up with somebody? Also I know it's another expense but have you looked at the robot hoovers? Mine do a passable job (better on the hard floors than carpet) - not great at awkward corners, but they keep the dog hair down and minimise what needs doing with the 'real' hoover. I have Eufy and they've been fine, not any of the major names - just had a look and there's one for £150 on the river warehouse, not sure if they often come up secondhand. (I figured as it was the main thing I hate, over a few months it worked out as cheaper and less hassle than paying someone else). They need picking up to empty but so does any hoover, and you can programme them to start automatically or just poke the button on top with a toe or stick.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Morning @beanielou just catching up, I am so sorry you've had more falls. On the upside I do love your pom poms, ickle cat, and walking sticks! Also loving those leggings, I have recently found colourful leggings online and have a small collection of them now

I think the robot hoover might be a great idea too, my sister has one as she has a bad spine and struggles with a regular hoover she loves it. I have seen them on FB MP second hand too so perhaps not a great expense?
Sending gentle hugs xx4 -
Sending hugs Beanie, everyone struggles and you have a lot more to deal with than some. I hope you're feeling a bit better, I know what you mean about needing money for the extras. There are things we want/need to get done or replace but it's hard to find the extra money when the price of everything just seems to keep spiralling!
Hope the cats are on lap duty!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,345, Car loan CC 0% BT £4900. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.4 -
