In other news I have wrestled with the printer which is now a bit slow, not connected to the new laptop & I have cancelled the instant ink from HP & so can no longer use the ink in it(!!) into the spare room. I have put it on our local helping hands page. If no one wants it then it can go to the electrical skip at some point.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I had a dispute with HP over the instant ink last year when mine dried up from lack of use. After much debate they agreed to send out new cartridges. I rarely print anything off and they’ve just put the monthly cost up to £1.49 so debating whether it’s really worth it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

That's ridiculous and wasteful! I've thought about switching to it before, but shall carry on just buying cartridges as and when needed.beanielou said:

We had a system like that Beanie but recently changed to an eco tank which we thought would be better value. gave the old printer to my niece and she was able to either just buy a cartridge as and when or take up the monthly payment system if she wanted.

I massively resent Instant Ink too but as I only print anything about every six months I figured it's still cheaper than replacing the ancient printer and buying yet more ink. I'd feel uncomfortable being unable to print at all as when I do need something it's generally bank related or otherwise critical, so not things I'd want to wait for the library or to have to drive to a friend I trust with seeing my details.Glad you got your appointment sorted Beanie. And I hope there is some more your surgery can do to save you trips in bad weather.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

A friend toddled to farmfoods to get the Whiskas cat food which was on offer. Sadly they had none. Apparently there is a risk with Felix as good as it looks of stomach tumour. So that is very much off the list for the moment.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
