Sorry to moan. The problem going forward is that all the many recycling bins are at the front door and obviously I need to use them.Ironically none of the leaves are mine as I have no trees and obviously the leaves are moved by the wind.I know have the fear of further falls and the difficulty of getting up.I am very cold today.Maybe the shock. Not the best day.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. You aren't moaning, you are naturally worried. If you are suffering from shock please call someone. Is there any possible way of avoiding future falls? Besides giving up which can not be an option. There are so many different aids out there now there must be something that can help without undermining your freedom.Sorry I know I am pushy.3

Unfortunately the CP makes me fall. All the aids in the world don’t help.I can fall using sticks, walker, grab rails even at physio.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I realised it was the CP. A primary school friend of my son had it but his parents took him out of normal schooling at the end of primary because he was generally in a wheelchair. Then they sold the house & left no forwarding address. I can understand why but a lot of his friends found it upsetting.

How grippy are the soles of your shoes? Would it be worth getting something rugged soled to tackle this walk so you are more secure in autumn and winter? If they had Velcro you could pop them on and off easily.beanielou said:Sorry to moan. Not the best day.
Sending warmth 🌞 for the cold feeling (very likely to be shock - recommend lots of tea, cat cuddles, a blankie and a hot water bottle) and hugs for the fear.

Yea, it’s amazing how many people find it upsetting. I mean I don’t find it great either……
My mum does not deal with it well or the one who shall not be named.
I wear shoes with grips and nearly always Velcro apart from odd pair of trainers.I wear good shoes either M0rrell or or All Rounders.Thank you 😊I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Sorry I meant that his friends found it upsetting that he just disappeared. They had been so used to his problems that they just "got on with it". I think if you get children young enough they just accept things.A woman I worked with told me her daughter was having Elizabeth over for tea & a play date. They were only 5. She asked what she was like & what she liked as you do. Her daughter never mentioned that the friend wasn't white, well it just hadn't occurred to her, she just liked playing with her. It is only when they get polluted by some adults that there is a problem.3

I’m sorry you still feel rubbish after the fall. Wet leaves this time of year are lethal to more able bodied people so appreciate it’s worse for you. I’m still hurting after a fall over the cats’s cardboard house on Thursday so goodness knows how it feels for you 🙁 Sounds like you’re doing all you can to mitigate the falls, not a lot else you can do really. Family members should be more understanding 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
