So glad that I have no stairsbadmemory said:I have to say that today it is the humidity that is torturing me. My movements yesterday & today were nowhere near as fluid as they were earlier in the week & the only difference has been the humidity. When I first came out of hospital my DS used to walk backwards downstairs in front of me just in case. This morning I almost asked him to do that but my bloody minded brain kicked in before I did. He was not a happy bunny when he found out how much I had struggled. I don't know how the poor beggar got any sleep those first 3 weeks as he was there with every creak of the floorboards. I am considering a "just in case" stair lift, even if all it gets used for for years is to carry the washing upstairs. I really do not like being dependent, but this hip op has been a serious learning curve.

I just did that this morning! I've been adding layers 🙄 socks, a handmade quilt, a fleece that feels nice but is a horrible colour 🤣 and as I had to change the bed anyway, I got the winter duvet out. Feels much easier, but if I overheat, I can't adjust easily. I'm never satisfied 🤣beanielou said:Changed to the winter duvet & fleece cover so was nice & cosy last night & slept well.Grateful for being able to afford a new duvet cover.2023: the year I get to buy a car4
