People can be (*************)  fill in anything you feel is appropriate.  I didn't think it could have been DS but was beginning to worry.  Don't you just love asterisks, they can mean so much.

That's some very appropriate asterisks from badmemory :)

I'm also glad it isn't DS - but its still true, you need to prioritise yourself.

I never turn mine off the thermostat.  If I am cold in December I am cold in August.  If I have to take it from savings then I do.  If they mess up the world so much that it is going to keep getting hotter then I won't need the savings later to pay for energy.  I am not going to sit huddled in a mass freezing so that some rich man can get even richer.  I have however turned the thermostat down as far as I can stand, but not moving is not an option.

I have to say that today it is the humidity that is torturing me.  My movements yesterday & today were nowhere near as fluid as they were earlier in the week & the only difference has been the humidity.  When I first came out of hospital my DS used to walk backwards downstairs in front of me just in case.  This morning I almost asked him to do that but my bloody minded brain kicked in before I did.  He was not a happy bunny when he found out how much I had struggled.  I don't know how the poor beggar got any sleep those first 3 weeks as he was there with every creak of the floorboards.

Ours is on thermostat too, but I was a bit shocked when it came on yesterday!
