Hope you're feeling much better beanie. Did you change your laptop ? This HP is really acting up so I;m going to have to find a diferent make. it's seems worse with the new site and keeps missing letters out of words. Really annoying when I'm trying to figure out the new Forum as I keep having to go back to add the missing letters.
We've had thunder and lightning and lots of rain. The storm finished off the tv and recording box. Not bothered about the recording box as I have a dvd and cd player. The big river site have obviously been watching my searches because they sent me loads of tv recommendations for Prime day but I didn't have the energy to start wading through them.
Was trying to figure out how to find my usual threads. I've noticed I have 68 bookmarked threads  so the threads I ffollow are there all the way back to Savvy Sewing.
I've even found the Shabby Chic threads I used to post on years ago.
I had to resort to doing a big grocery order from the big river site about a month ago . Didn't feel up to going to the Coop. I've tried many times to do  an online order from there it's onlya short distance away but Deliveroo wont rey email address although I've had it for years. Coop can't figure out why so it was the big river site.
The orders from there arrived in dribs and drabs taking weeks to get here, I was shattered getting up crack of dawn each morning for courier watch.
The Amazon ones were good were really overwhelmed with orders so had to battle to get out of the hub to get out on the road. I knew they were on their way so wasn't bothered but each one apologised for the delay though it wasn't their fault.
Had Parcelforce driver who was  a liar. First day I was sitting downstairs about 6am curtais open so I could see the road. Sat andsat went to the front door and there was a could not deliver card in the hall.
Went outside after a while and there was a heavy box behind one of the bins in front of the garage, Looked at his feedback to Am later- delivered to Secretary, concierge all sorts non existent people. Emailed Amazon about that telling them no one in this area used Parcelforce because they were terrible. Next day up again early for another delivery and i heard  someoone driving away.
another could not deliver card this one said have taken to the Post Ofice he hadjjust shoved that through the door and gone.
I was thinking the Post ofice is only up the roI'll collect that myself. Looked at the card and he;d passed our post office and many others and left the package at one miles away.
There was a date to collect it which was one of the extra bank holidays around the Coronatoin.
I had to give up driving years ago when the arthritis and fibro made it impossible. I'd have had to take a taxi there and back at bank holiday rates and unsur if the driver would wait as they could have another job booked. Wasn't even sure if the Post  Offfice would be open.
They don't usually open on Bank Holidays.
I made a hot drink and decided to contact Amazon help on the laptop. They told me to look at the items on the page of my orders and click on the missing item so they could sort things out. I had to tell them I had no idea what the item was because all the deliveries had only just begun arriving and it could be anything from the big order. Got an email from them a week or so later your order is waiting for collection at the post office. Showing a pack of 4 jars of Hot Chocolate.
It had been a very reduced special offer and  would cost much more to go and pick it up.It was  pouring with rain and I decided it would be dificult to get a taxi on such an awful wet
bank holiday Monday. That;s when the drivers are on the roads taking people to restaurants and pubs.
Spoke toAmazon again saying it wasn;t possible to pick the order up and mentioned every email I'd recieved mentioned amazon courier delivery except  no mention of the Parcelfforce one who two days runing didn't knockon the door but shoved a could not deliver card through the letter box and took off .
I was surprised Amazon refunded the cost of that order.
No idea if Parcelforce are still Royal Mail but my postman has always been good whether posting the letters or delivering the parcels

Glad you had a lovely day yesterday :)  Hope you have a lovely weekend too.

@pollyanna_26 I bought an Acer laptop after having HP.  I still use both, but prefer the Acer.

Can you remember when you bought your HP laptop beanie? Mine was from AO and I'm pretty sure I took out an extended guarantee when it was ordered. If I knew when it was ordered I'll stand a better chance of finding the paperwork.
Youngest ordered it over the phone using my debit card. I remember that because he wanted her to hand the phone to me to verify she had my permission to read out the card details.
My bank have been hopelrss since the start of the pandemic. I don't bank online because they are so bad. They used to send weekly paper statements then a monthly one but that's hit and miss now.
If I can get the evidence of paying the guarantee I'll go for one of the banks offering cash incentives.
Hope you've had a good day. It was hot then cold here today and the forecast is more thunder and lightning.

Polly~~I havent had the HP for a while.
I currently have an acer which is good.
My only bugbear is that the charging point on on the left hand of the laptop 7 not the right which is a pain because of the cables.
As I no longer use it for foodbank stuff I hope it will keep going for a wee while!  x
