Thank goodness you don’t have a mortgage anymore Beanie.Take out food with your mum sounds lovely…..moments to cherish.Have you had snow…..the change in the weather has been really noticeable 😳 Last weekend we were on the beach in t shirts…..by Thursday winter coats and woolly hats were order of the day….a quick dash from the car to the shop with quick look at the sea through shivering teeth 💨🌊💦 with big waves crashing in over the gorgeous beach we’d walked along a few days previous 😳January spends - £587.586

Hope you are feeling ok Beanie, cost of living crisis is biting, and I know some relatives that are just not buying things that they used to take for granted.

Hope you're okay this morning beanie, I've been thinking about what you wrote about your IT costs. If that means your broadband, or any kind of regular bill, the main MSE site is really helpful. I was on TalkTalk for my broadband, and when my contract ran out last year, they increased it by 50%. So I moved to Vodafone, who charge me one pound under the *old* price I used to pay with TalkTalk. I did have to send back the router from TalkTalk, but they provided me with a pre-paid envelope to do that, so it was fine, although they got quite snotty about it. Just check on the website if you can get a better deal. Hugs.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Ahh Beanie sorry to hear it's a struggly sort of time for you. Give the thing with your friend time - when it feels less raw to both of you it may be it can be made up, or alternatively you may realise that in fact it's not as much of a loss as it might feel right now. It's funny the way these things have a way of working out.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

IT is a huge increase & will have a big impact on my finances.
Taking on board the new reality of having no spare money for anything at all.to
I really need to get my head round it all pronto, park it & move on.
It is what it is & there is nothing I can do to change it.
Positives.
I am not in Ukraine.
I no longer have a mortgage.
I can't help wondering if our anxieties are even worse as we regularly number crunch and can forsee the debt forum being busier than new years eve compared to some of the population in ignorant bliss (sounds a nice place to be) who are gonna get stung by it all but are not yet aware by how much
Nothing as sobering as seeing quotes from Martin Lewis Lewis citizens advice and the like saying they don't know how to fix it/what advice to give.
I suppose we have to take it one day at a time, remember the positives and remember that a walk in the park, a sit in the garden and a book at the library are all free and can make us feel better.
Sending hugs. I hope time and space helps in the row with your friend and you feel better soon xJan 18 Joint debts 35,213
