That sounds like a real nightmare.  Can you not go back to the insurance company and ask them to get an opinion from an independent garage?  I wouldn't trust a garage who'd bodged a repair to give an honest account!  Can the current garage give you an opinion in writing that you can share with the insurance co?
That is the next step if they decline the repairs.
I think it is clear from the web cam & the MOT fail certificate

I'm so sorry to hear about the car saga beanie - what a pain. ☹️

I love My Funny Valentine - it's from the musical Pal Joey. Kim Novak performed it in the old 50s film singing it to Frank Sinatra, but it was actually dubbed by a singer called Tracey Erwin. Have a look as the excerpt is on YouTube  - lovely rendition.
    Thanks.  It is.

It's a fab wee song

  • Can’t you just go to the motability scheme as while your car is off the road, you are essentially being denied benefits to which you are legally entitled.

Not as simple as that sadly.
It was they who forced me to go back to the insurance company.
