I'm told some people have the snow returning - hope you avoid it - I'd quite like some as DD got a new sledge

Bottled water with be fine in the car. It's winter so no hot temperatures. There's a proven link between wet and windy and also hot and humid weather and pain flares. Youngest and I have both been flaring and struggling to sleep. I can't wait for a hopefully decent spring. My printer/scanner, shredder and other things went with youngest to her bfs when she was ordered to shield. Tearing up stuff with ID etc on and burying in the garden works well. Not the best weather at the moment but it does work.Wishing you and all here better days to come and hopefully better weather beanie. One day at a time is all we can doNight nightpollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Meant to say cold weather is also a trigger for pain and flares.Just read the post about the older neighbour helping you. I am 72 youngest is 36 so half my age we both have forms of arthritis and also both have fibromyalgia, It took dd some time to accept help when needed and I was the same, however often a helping hand is welcome whatever your age. There are thankfully some good souls around who are happy to help if needed. No shame involved. If it snows tomorrow hunker down and stay warm. We call those days cosy blankie days. Wrap one around you and snuggle with Miss Summer. Maybe read a book. I'm glad you're makng use of the slow cooker and enjoying nice meals.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Bottled water in the car - it actually depends what it is in. I used to keep the bought plastic bottles in there but now I use a dedicated coffee beaker that I top up (it is insulated) - I believe that some plastic bottles deteriorate and emit chemicals into the water - and if in the light, in a clear or blue bottle, do check it does not start to go green (been there, done that). I've got a walker's aluminium bottle in the back of my car (less frequently occupied) with a top like this that pulls up into sip, gulp or down and twist to lock. Water definitely lasts in thisSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
