Hi All
Looking some help on something thats been ongoing for a few years now, partly because ive been lazy and/or had time constraints. Below is a quick overview of the situation.
Late 2011 - Store card - Finance by Santander
Early 2012 - Disputed terms & Conditions and requested a copy of the signed credit agreement. Got a letter reply stating they didnt receive the origional from the originating store (Still have the copy)
Mid 2014 - Decided to try get credit file tidied up. Resent Similar letter to that of 2012 along with the statoury fee of £1. Received a letter back stating they no onger hold the account and it was sold on.
Mid 2014 - send the same letter to the DCA again along with the £1 fee and received a reply and return of the cheque stating they will assist me in obtaining the signed agreement as they wearnt the origionater
Santander had the default on my file but since they sold the debt on that now shows settled with them. However the default is now registered with the DCA in question.
What i would be looking is some templates and/or advise on how to force the DCA to remove the Defaul with immediate effect.
Also
A letter template on how to approach santander for compensation for breach of DPA1988 for sell on my personal information when they were clearly aware of the fact they didnt have a signed agreement. Would also like advise on what sort of figures of compensation to ask for
Thanks

An agreement was signed, as you say above you have a copy. Also you would have been given t&Cs at the time explaining that a default coul be registered. There has been no breach of DP here so no grounds for the default being removed or compensation.Still rolling rolling rolling......

Post-2008, a signed agreement is not necessary any longer.💙💛 💔0 -
You borrowed money you couldn't afford to spend, you have to pay it back either way. Stop trying to find a way out of paying it, because there isn't one.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
