Land Registry and Percentage Ownership

Myself and wife own property TIC unequal shares which is shown on the Form TR1 from when we bought it.
However, as far as I can see the share percentages are not recorded anywhere on the Land Registry Title.
Now, I thought if we wanted to change our shares (e.g. to 50:50) we would need to apply to LR to change the title. But since the shares don't seem to appear anywhere, how do we change them?

Anselld - the register will never refer to the percentage shares. That information may be included in paperwork submitted at the time of registration, the TR1 can sometimes refer, but that detail is not added to the register itself.
In many cases people will register the TIC aspect by means of a form A restriction - our online guidance explains this in more detail.
If such a restriction exists then there is nothing to apply for as far as the registered title is concerned.
If you wish to change the percentages then you will probably need to create a legal document to reflect this - in some cases this can be a Deed of Trust but it may be worth getting legal/financial advice on this or researching it a little wider on the internet perhaps?“Official Company Representative
