What is the best bargain game you ever bought?

Options
I picked up a copy of Enslaved for a fiver in a Blockbusters closing down sale bargain bucket and it turned out to be absolutely amazing.
It's like The Last of Us without the zombies.
Great game play, amazing story.
I loved it.
If only every game going for a fiver was as good!
What's the best bargain you ever got.
Happy to include hardware!

I've had many good deals with games. But i think the best was when i got the THQ pack from steam for £15.

Which included all the dawn of war games, Company of heres + expansions, Saints Row, Darksiders, the Red Faction collection, and some other games

That's a great game. Paid £30 for it though. Still a good deal!

Ah, if we're going along those lines, I should have said Playstation Plus. £40 for Hitman, FarCry 3, et al!

Humble bundles on PC have been awesome over the years (less so this year)

The best one has got to be the EA bundle last year

Battlefield 3, dead space 1 & 3, Crysis 2 max, burnout paradise, mirrors edge, medal of honor, sims 3 for about £3. I could hear console gamers sobbing that night.

Alan wake games for a penny weren't bad (I paid 69p for steam keys though), and overlord + expans

    Another bundle for £3 was
    Darksiders
Company of Heroes + Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor Expansions
    Red Faction Armageddon
    Metro 2033
    Saints Row: The Third

And the 2k bundle for about £3 was a cracker too containing stuff like bioshock 1 and 2, darkness 2 etc

However the best was xcom enemy unknown, which was free from good man gaming the other month. I have a rule of never spending more than £5 on a game, and pretty much every game I've wanted to play has hit that mark. Nearly bought assassins creed black flag for £6.66 when on offer but I've got that much in my catalogue to play it will hit 99p well before then!

    Long live PC gaming!

In terms of time spent per money paid, my top bargains are Super Hexagon (50p), Terraria (£2.49) and Fallout3: Game of the Year edition (£3.75), it's great with Steam sales being able to pay pennies for a game so if it's not up to much no problem but for a few, they're the real gems that you get a lot of playtime out of.

Your thread title says "bought", not rented! But considering the Far Cry trilogy (1, 2 and 3) was a fiver all the way back in December 2012, and the proliferation of 65p Humble Bundles and £3.74 games like Tomb Raider, Skyrim etc, not to mention the amount of free games that have been given away over the past few years (Civ V, XCOM, etc), I still don't think PS+ quite wins any bargain awards. ;)

Coincidentally, December 2012 was a good month for bargain games - I'd say the best bargain was the Bethesda Collection at Gamersgate: (2-month-old) Dishonored, Skyrim, Oblivion GOTY, Morrowind GOTW, Fallout 3 GOTY, Fallout New Vegas Ultimate, Doom 3 BFG, Rage, Rogue Warrior, Brink Complete, and Hunted: The Demon's Forge, all for £18.35. And they threw in a 20% coupon for anything else at Gamersgate for the duration of 2013! Lovely stuff.

Can't say anything containing Rogue Warrior was a bargain, that game was monumentally bad!

Think I'd be tempted to go with the EA humble bundle last year, £1 and I got C&C Red Alert, BF3 & Sims 3 along with a bunch of other stuff, granted I won't play Sims 3 but that was cracking value.

Steam Sales as well, too much on there which given half the chance I'd go for, but I usually have enough self control to avoid it being too bad!!
